My name is Marie-Hélène and I live in rural Vermont with my husband Marcial and my 5 year old son Marcialito. I am a classical pianist and piano teacher from Québec and I moved to New York City in 2002 to study at Mannes College of Music. I met my wonderful husband a year later and we decided to make the move from a city of 8 million people to a small Vermont town of 800 in 2006.
Star gazing, camp fires, sunsets, clean air, pure water, smell of lilacs, birds singing, vegetables growing, perennials blossoming, fire crackling in the wood stove have all been an integral part of our lives for the past decade. Our land and home have blessed us with a life that is slower, simpler, brighter, healthier and more wholesome.
I have embraced the farmhouse lifestyle and I am on a journey to find abundance in simplicity. Frugality, resourcefulness, sustainability, and community are really the foundation of this way of life and what I am striving for. I am passionate about decorating, DIY projects, gardening, natural living, homeschooling, and living in alignment with the seasons.
I look forward to getting to know you and I hope that here at Kingsbury Brook Farm you will find some inspiration, encouragement, relaxation, and beauty to brighten your day.
