Happy April! As some of you may know, I am a pianist and piano teacher, and the month of March was a busy one filled with rehearsals and performances. I wasn’t able to spend much time on house projects, hence the lack of blog posts last month. I am brainstorming a few ideas on how to combine my two passions, music and interior design, and I look forward to seeing how it will all unfold.
I have been itching to get back to our 100,349 house projects and after countless snow storms, I began feeling blue and craving something green:) Spring is my favorite season and in the north country, it really knows how to make a desirable late entrance. The grounds are still covered in snow but I have been sprinkling little touches of Spring throughout our home. Our living room is still very much a work in progress and creating little Spring vignettes has helped me not staring at all the unfinished projects and feeling overwhelmed.
I found this basket at my favorite antique store last week and I had fun putting this little Spring vignette together.Spring rings in the start of my other passion, gardening. I like decorating our home with lots of greenery, flowers, terracotta pots, along with my usual farmhouse favorites: ironstone, linen, books, baskets, etc.I also bought this linen towel and I did not notice the word MOTHER embroidered on it until the owner pointed it out.I am still in love with this cupboard and I had fun playing with it and dressing it up for Spring. One new addition is this cute wall hook rack from Gable Lane. I can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt and see our gardens awaken but in the meantime, I am enjoying looking at little Spring vignettes indoors. The maple syrup is flowing and it is sugar shack time:) That also means that mud season and spring cleaning are right around the corner:(
