I had the most amazing thing happening to me last Wednesday. I woke up and saw our living room on Miss Mustard Seed’s blog. I still have to pinch myself to make sure I did not dream the whole thing! It all started when I sent an email to Marian Parsons, a.k.a. Miss Mustard Seed, asking for help with our great room (kitchen and living room). Marian Parsons has been a HUGE inspiration to me and she is the reason I decided to start this little blog of mine last June. I was so honored and humbled to have her input on our living room and I can’t wait to start implementing some of her ideas. The post is part of a series called ‘Decorating Dilemma’ and you can read it here. Miss Mustard Seed has very enthusiastic and passionate readers who also gave me a lot to think about in the comments they wrote at the end of the post. I went through a whirlwind of emotions last week and I decided to let it simmer for a few days and what came out of it was a much clearer vision for the space and an inspiration board I put together last night. I have a lot of work in front of me and I feel so thankful and grateful for the amazing experience and opportunity I was given last week.
The first thing Marian talked about was furniture arrangement. I am happy to report that we went with option #1 (the sofa in front of the TV) and it has made a huge difference. I look forward to showing you some progress very soon and in the meantime, you can look at the inspiration board I put together for our living room. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today!
