Earlier this week, I wrote a post about our fall farmhouse kitchen and showed you glimpses of our fall beverage station. If you miss it, you can read the post here.A huge part of farmhouse living for us is to live with the rhythm of the seasons and to eat and drink what is available in our backyard as much as possible. I like to set up a beverage station on our kitchen counters throughout the year. It allows us to slow down and take time to taste and savor every season. This fall, we will be drinking a lot of mulled apple cider. We have three apple trees on our property and I usually bake goodies with our apples but I am thinking about getting a cider press this year and making our own apple cider. I set up our fall beverage station on a two tiered tray and I put cinnamon sticks, mulling spices and dried apple rings in pretty ironstone cups. I also added mini white pumpkins, gourds, Bartlett pears and nuts.Next to our fall beverage station are some ironstone teacups and saucers ready for serving.Decorating with seasonal edibles is great on the budget and makes your kitchen feel festive, appetizing and welcoming. I hope this inspires you to set up a beverage station in your home this fall. I will be back this weekend with our mulled apple cider family recipe. I promise this fall drink won’t disappoint.
