Yesterday, I shared about the two latest additions to our living room and I am back today with a dresser makeover. I found this dark brown dresser at a local thrift store. Aren’t those little casters to die for? The middle drawer still can’t open up but at $45.00, I can be patient:) I painted the dresser with Miss Mustard Seed ‘Farmhouse White’, the same white I used for our cupboard makeover.
I was thrilled to get a bit of chipping and crazing on this piece. My husband found this white mirror on the side of the road last year.
I added a touch of pink for Valentine’s Day with these beautiful flowers that I put in an ironstone pitcher.
The ironstone pitcher was also free, probably a yard sale item that did not sell, and despite all the cracks, imperfections, and a broken handle, it came home with me. This pitcher started my love affair with ironstone and is a reminder that everybody deserves to be loved, even with their cracks, imperfections, and brokenness. I wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day and may everyday be filled with love, kindness, and compassion.
