We spent the last week in Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive, a picturesque village located in the region of Charlevoix in the province of Québec. We rented a very special house that spoke dearly to my heart and I could not resist giving you a little tour. I hope you enjoy it!
The house is located on top of a very steep hill and is surrounded by flowers, grapes, and dozens of apple trees.
How cute are those windows?
The house is perched half a mile up from sea level and the view of the St. Lawrence seaway is incredible!
Could this be more charming?
The first thing you see when entering the house is this amazing stone fireplace. I love the coffee table, which is an old scale on wheels. The dining room is connected to the living area and is so charming with a farmhouse table, a chalkboard, open shelving, and that amazing wood stove!
Can I interest you in a cup of tea?
The kitchen is quaint and I could really get used to cooking with the view from that window. The ferry boats are coming and going all day and our son was busy trying to spot a whale with his oversized binoculars.
Before going upstairs, a little desk invites you to write letters or jot down some notes.
And here are the three bedrooms you can find on the second floor. My favorite is this first one with the stone and shiplap walls.
A little sitting area and a cute bathroom separate the bedrooms.
This house will always have a special place in my heart and I hope we will meet again soon…
Greetings from Kingsbury Brook Farm!
